July 9, 2014 FRANK EPSTEIN [#97325], 70, of Vallejo, was suspended from the practice of law for 90 days and ordered to take the MPRE and comply with rule 9.20 of the California Rules of Court. He was also placed on probation for two years and faces a two-year suspension if he does not comply with the terms of his probation. The order took effect July 9, 2014. Epstein stipulated that he violated the terms of his 2011 public reproval by failing to submit reports to probation as directed, have the Lawyer Assistance Program submit four reports on his behalf or submit proof of having passed the MPRE.Epstein’s 2011 public reproval was for failing to perform with competence on behalf of a client in a marriage dissolution matter and for failing to attend State Bar Ethics School, take and pass the MPRE or provide proof of attendance and passage to the Office of Probation. |
