June 28, 2008 KEITH WILLIAM LUSK [#82379], 61, of Fresno was suspended for one year, stayed, placed on three years of probation with an actual 30-day suspension and was ordered to take the MPRE. If the actual suspension exceeds 90 days, he must comply with rule 9.20. The order took effect June 28, 2008. Lusk stipulated that he practiced law while suspended for MCLE non-compliance and he committed acts of moral turpitude by misrepresenting his bar status to the court.While suspended for almost six months in 2007, he filed 49 lawsuits on behalf of his employer and continued to handle several others. He represented a credit recovery company by filing lawsuits to recover debts.In mitigation, Lusk has no prior discipline record, cooperated with the bar’s investigation and demonstrated remorse. No clients were harmed. |
