July 13, 2011 DEIRDRE BARKLEY FRANK [#81526], 58, of Ventura was suspended for one year, stayed, placed on two years of probation and was ordered to take the MPRE within one year. The order took effect July 13, 2011. Frank stipulated to one count of misconduct after she was convicted of misdemeanor battery on a police officer. After an altercation between her son and another person and during a police officer’s attempt to question the son, Frank repeatedly encouraged her son to leave home and not respond to the officer. She also pulled on the officer’s arm, even after being warned not to do so. In mitigation, Frank cooperated with the bar’s investigation, has no prior discipline record and provided evidence of her good character. |
