Discipline Summaries

August 26, 2012

LESLIE FERENC NADASI, 63, of Lancaster was suspended for one year, stayed, placed on two years of probation with a 30-day actual suspension and was ordered to take the MPRE. The order took effect Aug. 26, 2012.

Nadasi stipulated to nine counts of misconduct in four matters.

Although he was retained to represent the plaintiff in ongoing litigation, he never substituted in to the case. The client fired him and asked for a refund and the return of his file but Nadasi did not do so, nor did he cooperate with the bar’s investigation.

Nadasi filed a wrongful termination complaint on behalf of another client but the case was dismissed because he failed to appear for a case management conference and did not provide proof of service. He did not notify his client or refund her advance fee.

He did not respond to another client’s reasonable inquiries or return his file.

In mitigation, Nadasi practiced for more than 30 years without a discipline record, suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder and had a series of health crises, and he cooperated with the bar by entering into a stipulation.
