May 20, 2006 PATRICK JAMES McDONOUGH [#66780], 55, of Walnut Creek was suspended for one year, stayed, actually suspended for 90 days and until the State Bar Court grants a motion to terminate the suspension, and he was ordered to take the MPRE and comply with rule 955. If the actual suspension exceeds two years, he must prove his rehabilitation. The order took effect May 20, 2006. McDonough violated the conditions attached to a private reproval imposed in 2004 by not attending ethics school. He was disciplined at the time for failing to communicate with a client. He also was privately reproved in 1993 for practicing law while suspended for failing to pay bar dues.McDonough did not participate in the proceedings. |
