February 9, 1997 RONALD S. SENZAKI [#58273], 50, of Los Angeles was suspended for one year, stayed, and was placed on probation until Oct. 28, 2001, with conditions including restitution. The order took effect Feb. 9, 1997. Senzaki violated the terms of two earlier probations; in one, he did not submit a fee dispute to binding arbitration as required, and in the other, he did not prove that he attended a gambling and substance abuse program. He also failed to perform any legal services for a client, respond to her status inquiries for three years or return her file when she requested it. He also failed to inform his client of his new office address. In a 1994 discipline, Senzaki was ordered to repay $17,000 to a client and was given a stayed suspension for failure to perform services, abandonment, misrepresentation to a client, misuse of client funds and failure to report a malpractice judgment and to pay the judgment. He also did not cooperate with the bar's investigation. In a separate matter the same year, he was disciplined for failure to communicate, return the client file and unearned fees, provide an accounting, cooperate with the bar's investigation, and for improperly withdrawing from a case. In 1995, he was disciplined for unauthorized practice of law and failure to perform legal services, communicate with a client and return unearned fees. |
