June 18, 2004 HUGH E. COMISKY JR. [#52292], 61, of Redding was suspended for one year, stayed and placed on two years of probation. The order took effect June 18, 2004. Comisky stipulated that he did not meet the probationary requirements of a 2000 private reproval imposed following his conviction in Nevada of driving under the influence and possession of a firearm while under the influence. He did not take the MPRE.In mitigation, Comisky says he missed the registration deadline for the MPRE due to a calendaring error. He then underwent cardiovascular surgery and was ordered by his doctor to avoid stress —- including taking the MPRE. He took and passed the exam in 2003. He cooperated with the bar’s investigation and acted in good faith. |
