The order took effect Nov. 14, 2008. Morris stipulated to three counts of misconduct committed while he represented a woman who was attempting to reduce her two-year driver’s license suspension to one year.Despite requests from the client’s husband for nearly a year, Morris never filed a writ. He eventually refunded her $2,500 advance fee. He stipulated that he failed to perform legal services competently, keep a client informed of developments in her case and he did not respond to a bar investigator’s inquiries.In mitigation, he had no discipline record in 35 years of practice. |
