June 6, 2015 JOSEPH E. GERBAC [#38568], 76, of Lompoc, was suspended from the practice of law for 30 days and ordered to take the MPRE. He was also placed on one year of probation and faces a one-year suspension if he does not comply with the terms of his disciplinary probation. The order took effect June 6, 2015. Gerbac stipulated that he falsely reported to the State Bar he had completed all of his required MCLE hours when he had not. Gerbac had only completed four of the necessary 25 hours and completed the remaining hours to bring himself into compliance after learning of an MCLE audit.In mitigation, Gerbac entered into a prefiling stipulation and had no prior record of discipline. |
