November 13, 2014 JOSEPH K. BORGES JR. [#37812], 79, of Pomona, was disbarred Nov. 13, 2014 and ordered to comply with rule 9.20 of the California Rules of Court. Borges failed to respond to a notice of disciplinary charges filed by the State Bar and his default was entered. The bar moved to disbar him under rule 5.85 of the State Bar’s Rules of Procedure because he did not seek to have the default set aside or vacated. The charges against Borges were deemed admitted. He failed to release client files in three matters and did not update his membership address with the State Bar. |
