November 19, 2015 MATTHEW SCOTT ROSENBERG [#265201], 32, of Scottsdale, Ariz., was disbarred Nov. 19, 2015 and ordered to comply with rule 9.20 of the California Rules of Court. Rosenberg’s default was entered after he failed to respond to a notice of disciplinary charges against him. He did not seek to have the default set aside or vacated within 90 days as required under rule 5.85 of the State Bar’s Rules of Procedure and was disbarred. The charges were deemed admitted.Rosenberg charged an illegal fee of $4,000 to perform legal services in a conservatorship proceeding without an order fixing and allowing attorney compensation and failed to obey a court order by not refunding the $4,000 or paying $1,414.40 to the estate. He also failed to cooperate in a disciplinary investigation in two matters.He was ordered to pay $5,414.40 plus interest in restitution. |
