October 11, 2015 SCOTT MONTGOMERY CURREY [#242320], 43, of Dixon, was disbarred Oct. 11, 2015 and ordered to comply with rule 9.20 of the California Rules of Court. Currey was disbarred after his default was entered when he failed to file a response to a notice of disciplinary charges against him. Because he did not seek to have the default set aside or vacated within 90 days as required under rule 5.85 of the State Bar’s Rules of Procedure, he was disbarred and the charges against him deemed admitted.Currey failed to comply with the terms of his probation resulting from a 2012 private reproval.Currey had two prior records of discipline. The 2012 private reproval was for failing to perform services competently, communicate with a client or return unearned fees in a single client matter.
