October 11, 2013 ARON PHILLIP ROFER [#240021], 33, of Aliso Viejo, was suspended for two years, stayed, placed on two years’ probation with an actual 60-day suspension and ordered to take the MPRE. The order took effect Oct. 11, 2013. Rofer stipulated that in five client matters he violated state law by charging advanced fees for home loan modification work. After the clients filed complaints with the State Bar, Rofer refunded the fees.In mitigation, Rofer had no prior record of discipline and cooperated with the State Bar. |
