August 11, 2012 DAVID JOHN RUYLE JR., 36, of San Diego was suspended for one year, stayed, placed on one year of probation with a 60-day actual suspension and he was ordered to take the MPRE. The order took effect Aug. 11, 2012. Ruyle stipulated to 16 acts of misconduct in eight loan modification matters he undertook in Pennsylvania, Oregon, Nevada and Washington, where he is not licensed. In each case, he admitted he engaged in the unauthorized practice of law and collected illegal fees.Ruyle had no prior discipline record and became a sworn police officer in 2010. He cooperated with the bar’s investigation and presented evidence of his good character. |
