February 15, 2008 ROBERT EDWARD KASODY [#215994], 43, of Los Angeles was suspended for one year, stayed, placed on one year of probation and was ordered to take the MPRE within a year. The order took effect Feb. 15, 2008. Kasody was convicted in 2006 of misdemeanor driving under the influence. He pleaded not guilty but was convicted in a jury trial. The jury also found that he willfully refused to take a field sobriety test. He also was convicted in 2002 of driving with a blood alcohol level above .08 percent.In mitigation, Kasody has no discipline record in six years of practice, he cooperated with the bar’s investigation and he enrolled in a rehab program after the conviction. |
