Discipline Summaries

December 20, 2014

DAVID CURTIS HOLLINGSWORTH [#203887], 60, of Fresno, was placed on two years’ probation and was ordered to take the MPRE. He also faces a one-year suspension if he does not comply with the terms of his disciplinary probation. The order took effect Dec. 20, 2014. Hollingsworth failed to deposit two checks totaling $1,900 that he received from a client into his client trust account. After the State Bar opened an investigation into his misconduct, Hollingsworth entered into an agreement in lieu of discipline. However, he failed to comply with the terms of the agreement by submitting three quarterly reports and a final report to probation late and failing to attend ethics school and attend Client Trust Accounting School by deadline. In mitigation, Hollingsworth had no prior record of discipline, entered into a pretrial stipulation with the State Bar, presented evidence of his good character and performed pro bono and community service over many years.
