April 27, 2007 ROBERT WILLIAM ROLAND [#203087], 36, of San Francisco was summarily disbarred April 27, 2007, and was ordered to comply with rule 9.20. Roland, a former deputy district attorney in San Francisco, was convicted last year of four felonies: two counts of possession of a controlled substance (Ecstasy), one count of possession with intent to distribute and one count of using a telephone to aid in the commission of a felony. In imposing summary disbarment, the State Bar Court considered only one of the felonies, possession with intent to distribute. Because the crime is a felony involving moral turpitude, it meets the requirements for summary disbarment. |
