November 20, 2015 OMID DAVID NATANZI [#199983], 43, of Los Angeles, was suspended from the practice of law for six months and ordered to take the MPRE and comply with rule 9.20 of the California Rules of Court. He was also placed on three years’ probation and faces a two-year suspension if he does not comply with the terms of his disciplinary probation. The order took effect Nov. 20, 2015. In September 2014, Natanzi pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, a felony. Earlier that year, Natanzi had responded to an ad looking for someone to transport, furnish or sell narcotics. Natanzi drove to a location to meet who he thought was a drug buyer but was actually a Los Angeles Police Department detective conducting a sting. He was arrested after officers retrieved a plastic bag containing methamphetamine that Natanzi had thrown in the grass.In mitigation, Natanzi had no prior record of discipline, presented evidence of his good character, entered into a pretrial stipulation with the State Bar, enrolled himself in the State Bar’s Lawyer Assistance Program and demonstrated remorse for his wrongdoing.January 28, 2015 OMID DAVID NATANZI [#199983], 42, of Los Angeles, was placed on interim suspension Jan. 28, 2015 following a conviction for possession of a controlled substance.
