Discipline Summaries

February 21, 2015

GREGORY DUANE BLEVINS [#199104], 53, of Tulare, was suspended from the practice of law for 30 days and ordered to take the MPRE. He was also placed on two years’ probation and faces a one-year suspension if he does not comply with the terms of his disciplinary probation. The order took effect Feb. 21, 2015. The State Bar Court found Blevins culpable of two counts of failing to comply with all laws. In two matters, he filed, or caused to be filed, bankruptcy petitions without having his clients’ personally sign their petitions. Instead, the documents contained electronic signatures. In mitigation, Blevins had no prior record of discipline, his conduct did not harm his clients and he presented evidence of his good character. He received some mitigation credit for payment of restitution.
