October 15, 2016 DAVID ROBERT SHAPIRO [#193889], 48, of Fresno, was suspended from the practice of law for 30 days and ordered to take the MPRE. He was also placed on one year of probation and faces a one-year suspension if he fails to comply with terms of his disciplinary probation. The order took effect Oct. 15, 2016. Shapiro reported under penalty of perjury he was in compliance with his MCLE requirements when he was not. He completed the necessary courses after being contacted in connection with an MCLE audit.In mitigation, he had no prior record of discipline, admitted he made a mistake in not maintaining MCLE records and entered into a prefiling stipulation. |
