February 10, 2010 SABBIR AHMED [#177794], 45, of Glendale was suspended for two years, stayed, placed on probation for two years with an actual suspension of 90 days and was ordered to take the MPRE and comply with rule 9.20. The order took effect Feb. 10, 2010. Ahmed agreed that he had “recklessly†left his office unsupervised, with the result that a non-lawyer incompletely filled out bankruptcy forms and that Ahmed had no contact with the client, as required. The client’s case was dismissed when Ahmed did not show up at the bankruptcy hearing. The bankruptcy court publicly reproved Ahmed for failing to supervise non-attorney agents or perform bankruptcy services with competence and aiding non-attorneys in the unauthorized practice of law |
