June 21, 2013 MANSOUR SIG HADDAD [#172061], 47, of San Luis Obispo, was suspended for two years, stayed, placed on probation for four years with an actual two-year suspension and ordered to comply with rule 9.20 of the California Rules of Court. The order took effect June 21, 2013. Haddad stipulated that he was culpable of the acts that led to two criminal convictions in 2011. In one of the cases, Haddad was convicted of three misdemeanors – elder abuse, unlawfully disconnecting a telephone and resisting arrest – stemming from a dispute he had with his father while drunk. In the other case, Haddad was convicted of driving under the influence of alcohol with a prior offense.Haddad has one prior record of discipline. In 2011, he received a six-month actual suspension after stipulating to 10 acts of misconduct for five convictions involving alcohol abuse.In mitigation, Haddad was experiencing extreme emotional problems at the time of his misconduct which led to his alcohol relapse, has taken steps toward his rehabilitation and is involved in numerous community and pro bono activities. Haddad also cooperated with the State Bar.March 20, 2011 MANSOUR SIG HADDAD [#172061], 45, of San Luis Obispo was suspended for two years, stayed, placed on two years of probation with a six-month actual suspension and he was ordered to take the MPRE and comply with rule 9.20 of the California Rules of Court. The order took effect March 20, 2011. Haddad stipulated that he committed 10 acts of misconduct for five convictions involving alcohol abuse. He was twice convicted of misdemeanor public intoxication, two misdemeanor DUIs and one misdemeanor driving with a blood alcohol content of more than .08 percent with priors.In mitigation, he has no prior discipline record.Haddad also was convicted earlier this year of elder abuse, a matter that is pending before the State Bar Court. |
