January 1, 1997 KAREN AMY YOUNG [#160290], 29, of Sacramento was disbarred Jan. 1, 1997, and ordered to comply with rule 955. Young did not comply with rule 955 as ordered in a 1995 probation which resulted from misconduct in three client matters. She failed to communicate with her clients, perform legal services competently or return unearned fees and files, and she improperly withdrew from representation. Young's practice was taken over by the Sacramento County Superior Court in 1993 after the bar learned she was evicted from her law offices, the landlord had her files and two clients could not locate her. In 1994, she was enrolled involuntarily inactive. |
