February 21, 2015 MICHELLE SUSAN RHEINTGEN [#159501], 50, of Carlsbad, was placed on two years’ probation and faces a one-year suspension if she does not comply with the terms of her disciplinary probation. She was also ordered to take the MPRE. The order took effect Feb. 21, 2015. Rheintgen stipulated that in three loan modification matters, she collected illegal fees and held herself out as entitled to practice law in New Jersey and North Carolina, where she was not licensed. In mitigation, she had no prior record of discipline in many years of practice and cooperated by entering into a pretrial stipulation with the State Bar. |
