PATRICK BARNES CONDON [#144012], 65, of Carlsbad was suspended for two years, stayed, placed on three years’ probation with an actual 90-day suspension and ordered to comply with rule 9.20 of the California Rules of Court. The order took effect March 1, 2014.

Condon stipulated that he failed to comply with the terms of his probation by not submitting seven quarterly reports on time and failing to take Ethics School. In mitigation, Condon was suffering from major health problems at the time of his misconduct and entered into a pretrial stipulation with the State Bar.

Condon was previously disciplined in 2011 after pleading guilty to one count of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, driving a vehicle with a blood alcohol level of .15 percent or more and for having a second conviction within 10 years.

In mitigation, he had no discipline in more than 18 years of practice.
