February 11, 2010 PAUL STANLEY SIENSKI [#143464], 52, of Brea was suspended for two years, stayed, placed on probation for one year with an actual suspension of 30 days and he was ordered to take the MPRE, provide an accounting of $4,000 paid by a client, offer to go to fee arbitration and seek psychiatric treatment. The order took effect Feb. 11, 2010. In a stipulation, Sienski admitted that he failed to perform legal services with competence, respond promptly to reasonable status inquiries or cooperate with a disciplinary investigation following unsuccessful attempts over three years by a client to have Sienski complete a settlement agreement. In a second case, Sienski accepted a $4,000 retainer but did not earn the full amount of the payment and did not return any money to the client. He also did not cooperate in the investigation of misconduct. |
