DAVID ELLIS REESE [#132733], 56, of Santa Barbara, was placed on one year of probation and faces a one-year suspension if he does not comply with the terms of his disciplinary probation. He was also ordered to take the MPRE. The order took effect Nov. 25, 2015.

On Nov. 2, 2013, he was driving under the influence of methamphetamine when he caused an accident. Following his arrest, he took serious steps toward his recovery, completing a treatment program. In July 2014, Reese pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor violation of driving under the influence.

He had no prior record of discipline and entered into a pretrial stipulation with the State Bar.
